Jason Odell Williams (playwright) - Though neither black nor Jewish, Jason feels his upbringing in Columbia, Maryland gave him a lot to say about all things race-related. At least when it comes to funny things about race. Because, let’s face it: Race is hilarious.

His plays have had readings and been developed at Primary Stages, Manhattan Theatre Club, New Jersey Rep, Artists 4 Israel, The Cell, Jewish Cultural Arts Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Rep Stage, Midtown Direct Rep, Gulfshore Playhouse and The Baltimore Playwrights Festival.

His play THE SCIENCE OF GUILT won first prize in the fixitsolife theatre’s 2009 playwrighting competition. It ran Off-Broadway at The DR2 Theatre in 2010 and starred Vincent Piazza & Anatol Yusef from HBO’s Golden Globe Winning series, “Boardwalk Empire.”

His play AT A LOSS had its World Premiere in July 2011 at The Kitchen Theatre in Ithaca NY. In November, the play was re-worked (and re-titled! -- HANDLE WITH CARE) and had itsSoutheast Premiere at The Gulfshore Playhouse in Naples, FL. Both productions starred his lovely wife Charlotte Cohn as an Israeli woman stuck in a small Virginia town on Christmas Eve where a DHL delivery man has lost her grandmother’s dead body. It’s a comedy.

Charlotte Cohn (director) - In addition to being married to and having a beautiful 5 year old daughter with the playwright, Charlotte is also Jewish. The serious Israeli kind. Plus she was a Tank Commander in the Israeli Army. So don’t mess with her. Seriously.

The award-winning director of The Emancipation of the Sassy Jewish Woman (Best Debut, 2010 United Solo Theatre Festival), Charlotte directed the recent showcase production of BALTIMORE IN BLACK AND WHITE at The Cell and has also directed previous readings and workshops of the play at Manhattan Theatre Club, Primary Stages, The New School for Drama, The Bleecker Street Theatre, and The Baltimore Playwrights Festival.

Performing highlights include Broadway’s La Boheme and Coram Boy, Happy End at A.C.T. (Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Best Actress nominee), La Boheme at The Ahmanson in L.A. (Ovation Award Winner), The Murder of Isaac and The Boys from Syracuse, both at Baltimore’s Centerstage where she also performed her cabaret in February 2011.
